We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Critiques
The pillar is a bit distracting and if you have the original, I'd suggest trying a crop that would make it less pronounced. Perhaps cropping in a unique size (if this is an 8x10 crop, maybe a 5x10 would be appropriate?) from the left of the image to where the pillar is, or to the middle. It would make the woman the main focus and the feature we see first.
Having said all of that, I really enjoy the wide range of tones here and the contrast, while a bit dark, is appropriate. I'm also drawn to the lines - love subways for the same reason. Well seen!
